KAMC News reports that the victim, who hasn t been identified, told Lubbock Police that she heard shots fired at roughly 5:20 a.m. on Monday, August 2nd in the 5600 block of 48th Street. She didn t leave her apartment until roughly 10:45 a.m. Which complex the victim lived in wasn t specified by news releases. After she left her apartment hours after the shots had been fired, she noticed that her vehicle outside had been damaged from the gunfire. The victim s neighbors also noticed damage to their vehicle and apartment from the aforementioned gunfire. ....
Get our free mobile app Lubbock Police continue their investigation into a shooting incident that left multiple vehicles and homes damaged in a Central Lubbock neighborhood. KAMC News reports that the incident happened at 12:35 a.m. in the 1300 block of 65th Drive on Sunday, July 25th. It s said that an officer with the Lubbock Police Department was responding to a nearby call and heard 15 to 20 shots being fired. After driving over to where the gunshots were heard, the officer found multiple people standing around in a parking lot. That officer noted damage to a parked vehicle from what seemed to be gunfire, and shell casings were found near the vehicle. Another person on the scene confirmed that they heard gunshots while entering their home. ....
Three Lubbock police officers placed on leave after shooting back at a man during a vehicle pursuit earlier this month have been cleared to return to duty, according to a police news release issued Wednesday. The three officers were placed on administrative leave after a July 5 shooting that injured 41-year-old Jerome Garcia, who is facing aggravated assault charges in connection with a separate shooting at a Central Lubbock gas station earlier that night. It is important to clarify administrative leave is not an indication of any wrong doing, it merely allows for the investigative and policy review process to take place effectively, according to a police news release.
