DoPT tells States that not sending enough officers may affect future cadre review proposals. With the States not nominating enough officers for Central deputation, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has shot off a letter to the State governments, cautioning them that not sending enough officers may affect future cadre review proposals.
For instance, Uttar Pradesh has over 500 Indian Administrative Service officers but data show that only 32 IAS officers are presently on Central deputation.

New Delhi, April 6 : Indian Administrative Service (IAS) official Mahatme Sandeep Namdeo was on Tuesday appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare department of Delhi government with instructions to join duty within three days.
Namdeo, a Tripura cadre 2010 batch IAS officer, is currently posted as Director Urban Development in Tripura. He was also holding additional charges of Chief Executive Officer, Tripura Urban Development Authority (TUDA) and Director of Skill Development, Tripura. He was also handling responsibility of Mission Director, Agartala Smart City Ltd in addition. Earlier, the official was deputed as District Magistrate in West Tripura district. In August last year, he was transferred to the TUDA.

The Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, in association with Isha Foundation organized a 5-day in-service leadership program for its officers. The Inner Engineering and Leadership Program was conducted at the Isha Yoga Center near Coimbatore city in Tamil Nadu between 25 and 29 January. Officers from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Forest Service (IFS) and other officers under the Central Staffing Scheme participated in the Program specially designed by Sadhguru, Founder-Isha Foundation, and conducted by highly trained Isha teachers.
