This ceramic bust, titled Precious, was created by Auburn High School art teacher Mike Villano. He submitted it for inclusion in the Teacher Art display thats part of Both Ends of the Rainbow 2021.

AUBURN, NY – The Covid-19 pandemic has been difficult for both students and teachers as they transitioned from in-person classes to mostly online instruction. But at least one art teacher found a silver lining.

When a beloved community fundraising event for Ann’s Place (a free, community-based cancer support center) was forced to go virtual, Brewster Students Against Cancer adapted and found a new way to support the non-profit.
Last year, the Brewster High School club participated in Festival of Trees the largest annual fundraiser for Ann’s Place by decorating a tree that was raffled off to one lucky festival-goer. This year, the club donated $200 to the non-profit in lieu of decorating a tree for the virtual event. ....
