(ABC 6 News) The pandemic has been tough on many musicians. With many events being canceled this year, finding gigs for musicians to perform at has been difficult.
But Minnesota Public Radio has a show called The Current, and it s giving local musicians a platform to perform virtually statewide. The whole industry has kind of gone through a bit of a shakeup. It s been kind of like you have to get clever in times like this, Joe McShan, a Rochester musician said.
McShan is a local Med city hip hop artist who goes by Jae Havoc.
He performed this weekend at The Current s Sounds Like Home event. For him, he says events like these help local musicians, now more than ever.
