Greenfield Dock. Inset: County Hall in Ruthin FISHERMEN joined the Coastguard and emergency services to search through the night for a man who went missing in the Dee Estuary. An inquest at County Hall in Ruthin heard that fellow cocklers saw 52-year-old Christopher Mossman s boat after it had hit a sandbank on August 28 last year. The steering console and engine of the 19.3ft flat-bottomed dinghy were badly damaged but Mr Mossman, who lived at Victoria Way, Bagillt, was nowhere to be seen. Richard Pullen said he and other cocklers lifted the engine as they feared Mr Mossman was trapped underneath, but they were unable to find him.
