The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returns to action Saturday (March 20) at Sebring International Raceway for the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring presented by Advance Auto Parts. There will be 36 cars on the grid for the 12-hour classic, split between five classes.
With Action Express Racing confirming a couple of weeks ago that their second car with Ally sponsorship will do the full Michelin Endurance Cup, all seven cars that participated in Daytona are back. All seven teams are running three-driver lineups. That means that drivers such as Helio Castroneves, Mike Rockenfeller and AJ Allmendinger are not entered. ....

Auer and BMW announce split after one season
Lucas Auer and BMW have mutually agreed to part ways after just a single year competing together in the DTM.
Auer joined BMW as a factory driver last year to return to the DTM, where he had previously competed for rival manufacturer Mercedes until the end of its programme in 2018.

Alexander Rossi finished on top after a second day of IndyCar testing on Sebring s short course, while he also got behind the wheel of a prototype Acura machine.
The 2016 Indy 500 winner lapped the 1.7-mile track in 52.272s and completed 105 laps, finishing Tuesday s running 0.106 seconds faster than Andretti Autosport team-mate Colton Herta, who was third in last year s IndyCar championship.
