Fort Jones woman fills downtown historic district business niche

Siskiyou Daily News A Siskiyou County woman who opened a shop in Yreka’s historic district this winter hopes to fill a gap in the town’s business offerings. Lorin LaMarr, 27, of Fort Jones opened the Copper Mountain Boutique LLC on Miner Street in December. The shop features women’s clothing and accessories. Her stock is mostly young contemporary in design, LaMarr said, including a selection of denim jeans, shorts and jackets in different styles. Designers include Kan Can and Risen. “Throughout the spring you’ll be seeing a lot of floral dresses for special occasions, too,” she said. LaMarr said she tries to stock styles that aren’t available at local big-box stores, like Walmart.
