NutraIngredients-USA Awards 2021: Last day to complete your entries! Applicants to the 2021 NutraIngredients-USA Awards have until midnight Central time to complete their entries, with our expert judges ready to adjudicate across the 16 categories.
Our categories cover ingredients, finished products, nutrition research, personalized nutrition, start-ups, industry initiatives and people, and those include our two exciting new categories – Beauty-from-Within ingredient of the year, and Immune Support finished product.
And don’t forget the two categories that are judged by the NutraIngredients-USA Editorial team: Industry Initiative of the Year and NutraChampion.
Finalists will be announced in May, and winners will be announced during a virtual celebration on July 14.
NutraIngredients-USA Awards: What are our judges looking for? With three weeks left until the closing date for entries for the NutraIngredients-USA Awards 2021, we’re often asked about the judging process, so here’s what you need to know…
Obviously, the criteria are slightly different for each category, but overall we can break it down four ways:
1) Can you show us that there is a genuine consumer demand?
2) Do you have solid scientific evidence to demonstrate a unique nutritional solution to this need or problem?
3) Can you also demonstrate commercial success and engagement from your core target market(s)?
4) What gives your entry the ‘X factor’? What makes it stand out from the crowd?
NutraIngredients-USA Awards: Do you know a NutraChampion? NutraIngredients-USA is accepting nominations for Industry Initiative of the Year and NutraChampion at the 2021 NutraIngredients-USA Awards. Both categories are judged by our editorial team.
Industry Initiative of the Year is designed to honor the projects and initiatives that have wider industry implications, that bring together multiple stakeholders for the higher purpose of raising the bar and elevating the conversation around dietary supplements.

Immune Support joins NutraIngredients-USA Awards Consumer Product categories The prestigious NutraIngredients-USA Awards are back for 2021, and this year we’ve expanded our ‘Product of the Year’ category to include Immune Support.
2020 was the year of the Immune Support supplement, with established brands reporting huge surges in sales, and new products launching into the category to satisfy consumer demand for products to support their overall immunity.
And for this reason, the NutraIngredients-USA team will shine the spotlight on these products with an Immune Support Consumer Product of the Year category at its annual NutraIngredients-USA Awards.
The five ‘Product of the Year’ categories are: Botanical, Immune Support, Omega-3, Probiotic, and Sports Nutrition.
