PEOPLE are being urged to “think carefully” before going to A&E.
The plea has been issued after a surge in the number of people attending hospital emergency departments across the region seeking treatment for minor conditions.
Dr Richard Keeble, clinical director for emergency medicine at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, said: “I would urge everyone to think carefully before coming to A&E.
“Members of the public can help by ensuring that if they do choose to attend A&E for treatment, that it is the best place for them to go to get the right care, as soon as possible. ....
