Police investigate Saturday homicide, carjacking and fatal crash April 11 2021 The names of the victims and suspects in the April 10 incidents are not immediately released. Police are investigating a homicide, a carjacking that left one person seriously injured and a fatal collision, all on Saturday, April 10. The victims were not immediately identified. One person had been detained and another arrested. The investigation into the fatal shooting began at 1:15 p.m. when Central Precinct officers responded to a death investigation call at an apartment on Northwest Second Avenue between West Burnside and Northwest Couch streets When officers arrived, they located a dead adult male. Their preliminary investigation suggested the death was a homicide and one person was detained.

SFFR rescues victim in trailer house fire

By Todd Epp Apr 6, 2021 6:06 PM SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) Sioux Falls Fire Rescue rescued a victim after a trailer house fire late this morning (Tuesday). Firefighters responded to the fire in the 1500 block of West Burnside Street. The home was engulfed in flames and smoke. During a search of the structure after putting the fire out, firefighters found a person. An ambulance took them to a hospital. There’s no word on their condition. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. Below is the news release from SFFR. ….. On April 6, 2021, at approximately 11:40 AM, Sioux Falls Fire  Rescue was dispatched to a report of a structure fire in the 1500 block of West Burnside Street.  Initial reports were that smoke was coming from a trailer home. The first arriving crew found heavy smoke and flames coming from a trailer home.
