Mystery solved: Davis police identify woman with severe amnesia Shares A woman suffering from severe amnesia who surfaced in Davis several weeks ago has been identified by her family. Davis police reported Friday that a citizen alerted them that morning to a missing-person report involving a 46-year-old woman who vanished from the Los Angeles area in April. “From there on the detective connected the dots,” making contact with the woman’s relatives who made a positive identification through photographs and other information, Deputy Police Chief Paul Doroshov said. The circumstances of the woman’s disappearance were not disclosed, but “we have not uncovered any signs of a crime associated with this,” Doroshov said.
