He is a member of American Federation of Teachers Local 1360, recording secretary for the Western Kentucky AFL-CIO Area Council, webmaster-editor for the Kentucky State AFL-CIO, and a member of the state AFL-CIO Executive Board. His ninth book on the history of his state, “Kentuckians and Pearl Harbor: Stories from the Day of Infamy,” was published by the University Press of Kentucky in November 2020. A local mother has stepped out of the court system and into a new life with no intentions of looking back. Courtney Windsor graduated from Drug Court via teleconferencing app on Wednesday after spending almost two years in the program. âIt feels really good. I feel like Iâve accomplished something, that Iâve really learned a lot,â Windsor said. She described her experience working with Drug Court organizers as âabsolutely amazing,â and full of âgood people,â like Graves County Circuit Court Judge Timothy Stark. For Windsor, Stark was different from other judges she had met in the past. Aside from being very kind and honest, she said Stark would share moments from his personal life. Furthermore, he provided âgood adviceâ and was a listener. ....

(KFVS) - School leaders outlined a tentative plan for how West Kentucky Community and Technical College will use its $15 million gift. WKCTCâs Board of Directors and the Paducah Junior College, Inc. Board of Trustees met during a virtual meeting on Monday, December 21. Philanthropist and author MacKenzie Scott donated the money a week before to Paducah Junior College, Inc., which is the foundation for WKCTC. The donation is the largest gift from a single donor in the collegeâs history. ....
West Kentucky Community and Technical College recognized more than 840 candidates for graduation during a virtual Fall 2020 Commencement program aired on the collegeâs Facebook page and YouTube channels December 18, 2020 The collegeâs in-person commencement is normally held at The Carson Center for the Performing Arts and had been scheduled for December 19. The ceremony was canceled due to COVID-19. âWe didnât want to miss the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the 2020 graduates while also keeping everyone as safe as possible,â said Dr. Anton Reece, WKCTC president, of the decision to have a virtual ceremony. âWhile Commencement looks different this year, one thing is not different â pride.
