47abc May 1, 2021 SALISBURY, MD.- Behind seven goals from Lydia McNulty and five more from Erin Scannell, Salisbury Women’s Lacrosse defeated Christopher Newport 17-8 to capture the 19th conference championship in program history. Coming into the conference championship at a perfect 14-0, the Gulls welcomed in Christopher Newport, the number three ranked team in the Coast to Coast conference. Lydia McNulty, Julie Talbert and Erin Scannell (3) took SU on a 5-0 run for the 6-1 lead midway through the first half. After a Captains timeout, CNU was able to get two more on the board to cut the lead to four with 3:50 left in the half. From there, Lydia McNulty took over.
