The Wall that Heals coming to the Eastern Shore

47abc March 5, 2021 OCEAN PINES, Md. – The Worcester County Veterans Memorial committee is preparing to oversee the event which will welcome “The Wall that Heals.” It’s a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. This year, it will be hosted right here on the Eastern shore in April. The Worcester County Veterans Memorial committee overseeing the event is looking for volunteers who will each be trained to guide visitors through the exhibit. The event will honor the lives of those who served in Vietnam. Leaders of this event say, this area has a large showing of patriotism and they’re excited to be able to host this event. Marie Gilmore, President of the Worcester County Veterans Memorial Foundation says, “Well this means everything to us. This is the ultimate show of respect for those who served in Vietnam.” She also states, “So I think bringing the wall to the Eastern shore was a wonderful, wonderful gift for us.”

New Deputy Principal confirmed at St Louis secondary school

St Louis secondary school confirmed the appointment of Mary Gilmore as permanent Deputy Principal after three years in an acting role. Mary has been a permanent teacher of English, History and more recently Philosophy in St Louis Dundalk since 1991, having worked part-time in the school since 1988. She also taught in St Vincent s Secondary School, Dundalk, Our Lady s College Greenhills Drogheda and St Louis Secondary School Carrickmacross. A native of Dundalk, she is a past pupil of St Vincent s Secondary School. Having graduated from UCD with a BA Honours Degree in English, History and Philosophy, Mary then attended NUI Maynooth for her Higher Diploma in Education. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership from Maynooth University since 2010.
