  ); In Ballinalee, it will be a case of eyes down on Sunday bank holiday night, May 2 at 8pm as the Seán Connolly’s Rounders club host a fantastic online bingo bonanza with a €3,000 prize fund.  Use the Next > above for more information Rounders has always been part of the parish of Clonbroney dating back to 1980 s when club President Mary Farrelly introduced the game to the national school in Ballinalee.   Rounders has been played over the years by children of the parish through Clonbroney Community Games. Seán Connolly s Rounders club was reformed in 2017 with the support of Seán Connolly s GAA Club and Clonbroney Minor Club. Club members range from the young to the not so young.  The game of rounders encourages participation and team spirit for all. Rounders has been a great success in the parish since its return and it brought an All-Ireland minor title to the club in 2019.

Big €15m boost for NTA projects across Fingal

Fingal County Council has received almost €15 million in funding from the National Transport Authority for sustainable transport projects around the county. Some €14,870,000 provided from the NTA will help progress 23 projects across Fingal such as the Harry Reynolds Road Cycle Track, Donabate Estuary walking and cycling route and the Broadmeadow Way. These projects are part of a wider sustainable transport infrastructure programme to tackle climate change. Providing safe and sustainable infrastructure will undoubtedly assist the growing numbers of cyclists who are now using the roads in towns and villages across Fingal over the past years. The Mayor of Fingal, Cllr. David Healy welcomed the announcement: This is wonderful news. We are seeing many more people in Fingal walking and cycling due to the pandemic, so it is crucial that we develop quality routes for walking and cycling to allow greater movement within our communities. Fingal business gears up for local Enterprise Week

Local Enterprise Week is back in Fingal and this time it is going virtual. The Local Enterprise Office (LEO) network has launched a series of exciting business events and initiatives to take place completely online during Local Enterprise Week (LEW), which is happening between the March 1 and 5, 2021. The pilot Virtual LEW will allow local business owner/managers to learn, engage and network around the country directly, whether from essential workplaces or their home offices. At socially distanced photo calls to mark the launch of the programme, Mayor of Fingal Cllr. David Healy highlighted the necessity for all small enterprises to use the opportunity to tap into the wide range of supports available to them in these challenging times: Through our Local Enterprise Office, Fingal County Council is providing vital services and assistance to our local businesses.
