A foundation that honors the memory of a New York City firefighter who died on 9/11 has made life a little easier for a South Jersey family grieving a recent loss.
Peek was on duty around 1:30 a.m. when he responded to a report of someone striking an ambulance with an unknown object as it left the city fire department’s satellite EMT station on Mayor Aitken Drive. ....
