Times Staff Report Gadsden State Community College is reviving its theater program, according to a news release from the college. Matthew Huffman, director of the Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center and theater instructor, said the college hopes to stage one production each semester once the COVID-19 pandemic subsides. “Until the pandemic, we consistently had wonderful theatrical productions from CharACTers Theatrics and local dance performance companies at Wallace Hall,” Huffman said in the release. “But Gadsden State has not staged a musical or play since ‘Catfish Moon’ in 2010.” In addition, the college is offering half and full theater scholarships for qualified students. ....
