Waverly Partners Tapped by the Charleston Area Alliance to Find New Leader
March 16, 2021 – Executive search firm Waverly Partners has been selected to find a new president and chief executive officer for the Charleston Area Alliance in West Virginia. Board member Matt Bond of United Bank will head a nine-member search committee that will work with Waverly Partners to identify qualified local, regional, and national candidates. Managing directors and principals Eric N. Peterson and B. Harrison Turnbull are leading the assignment. Former CEO Matt Ballard resigned to accept the CEO/executive director role at the West Virginia Regional Technology Park. Steve Rubin, former board chair of the alliance, began serving as interim CEO last fall.
Adam Hendrix
The final 34 contenders have emerged in the Wynn Spring Classic $3,500 Championship, and three players have paced well ahead of the others to position themselves for the best chance at the $391K first-place prize.
Tops in the counts is Adam Hendrix, who looked destined to lap the rest of the field after an incredibly hot start to the day. Hendrix began his rampage a few levels in versus fellow big stack Ben Underwood, when Hendrix made a huge call for stacks with a weak full house â trips were on the board â and was shown a bluff. He then cracked the aces of Matt Bond with a set of eights and was off to the races with 350 big blinds.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â KC Water announced the construction of a new renewable resource facility, costing $150 million.
That price tag, according to KC Water, won t increase rates.
The Blue River Biosolids Improvements Facility will implement new cost-effective and environmentally friendly processes for removing solid waste. Increasingly our industry is finding out we can recycle those materials and what we want to do with this project is we want to be able to turn into what is called a biosolid, which means it is suitable for re-use and actually marketing and re-sale because we treated it to very high standards as allowed by state and federal government, explained Matt Bond, KC Water deputy director of engineering and compliance.
