MOUNDS, Ill. (KFVS) - For the past couple months, residents in Mounds have seen higher water bills.
Some residents may think it’s due to the recent city dispute with South Water Incorporation who supplies the city water, but the city said some people are just not caught up on their bills.
“We’re trying to work with you, and I know that it’s hard sometimes, but just work with us and we’ll work with you,” said Mayor Rita Flummer, who often hears the complaints about the recent spike in water bill charges. ....

MOUNDS, Ill. (KFVS) - A deadline for the City of Mounds had residents wondering if their water was going to be shut off.
Due to an outstanding bill, the city needed to reach an agreement before March 10 with Southwater, Inc., their water provider, or the city would be without water.
Mounds Mayor Rita Flummer felt some weight lifted off of her shoulders.
She said they signed the agreement with the water company March 9.
“When this is all done we will go forward with our regular monthly bills right now just go forward like this had never happened,” said Flummer. ....
