Lt. Hal Utterback of the Crawfordsville Police Department retired after 41 years patrolling the streets, ending a career that brought him to the front lines of fighting crime and into the lives of middle schoolers learning to say no to drugs. “I’ve been one of those rare people that has gotten to do exactly what they wanted to do for their entire working career,” he said. ....
Question of the Week: The state may be ending its mask mandate overall, but Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb has switched the burden of the decision to each county. So what does that mean here? Should our three county commissioners follow Holcombâs lead and drop the mask mandate? Or should they do like Marion and Monroe counties and tell people in the county they have to mask up? Photo provided • • Volunteers from Crawfordsville Kiwanis helped unload the truck at the Nourish program on 12-11-20 and helped pack backpacks on 12-14-20. They pack 147 backpacks in 1 hour. The Nourish program helps families with food insecurities in Montgomery County. The food will help feed children while they are out of school. This is organized through the Youth Service Bureau and is in partnership with many churches, businesses, and other organizations. ....
