Currumbin Eco-Parkland secured to become one of largest eco-parklands in Australia

The Queensland Government has commenced the process to compulsorily acquire 148 hectares of land on the Southern Gold Coast to transform it into one of the largest eco-parklands in Australia, delivering on an election commitment.
Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development Steven Miles said the government committed to protect the parcel of land at Currumbin Waters, locally known as Martha’s Farm or Martha’s Vineyard.
“We’re delivering on our commitment to protect this important land and transform it into Currumbin Eco Parkland,” Mr Miles said.
The Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence announced it has appointed Meghan Scanlon as its next president and CEO.
Scanlon, who currently serves as executive director of the regional nonprofit Women & Family Life Center, will assume the new role on June 28, CCADV officials said, succeeding Karen Jarmoc, who stepped down last year.
Baring PE Asia to sell Lumenis Surgical Business to Boston Scientfic for $1b

Alternative investment major Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA) announced that it has agreed to sell Lumenis Surgical Business to New York-listed medical technology firm Boston Scientific for $1.07 billion.
The surgical business includes laser and fibres solutions for minimally-invasive surgical procedures in Urology and ENT. It also covers Lumenis’ robust product portfolio, global team, and the Israel surgical centre of excellence, according to the announcement.
Baring PE Asia acquired Israel-based Lumenis in 2019 in a deal that valued the medtech company at over $1 billion. The deal marks an exit for XIO, a London-based buyout firm that bought Lumenis for about $$510 million in 2015.
