STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A Meiers Corners man was indicted on charges that include manslaughter in connection to the fatal Gowanus Expressway crash that killed a 30-year-old Greenridge woman in March, the Brooklyn District Attorney announced Tuesday.
Mark Dookhan, 31, a resident of the 300 block on Melba Street, was arraigned Monday and faces charges of second-degree manslaughter, second-degree vehicular manslaughter, second-degree assault, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, among others.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A gun and illegal drugs proved to be a bad combination for a Mariners Harbor man.
Hilton Tucker has been sentenced to a total of four years in prison stemming from convictions in separate cases.
Officers pulled over Tucker, then 18, at about 5:50 p.m. on Mann Avenue near North Gannon Avenue. He was driving a gray Dodge which had excessive tint on the windows, police said.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. The Pizza Parlor in Annadale will expand to a second location. Owner Carmine Gualtieri brings the pie concept to 965 Jewett Avenue.
“We’re going to be opening The Pizza Parlor in hopefully about two weeks. We’re in the process of training the staff and testing the ovens,” he reported.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A friend of the 30-year-old woman who tragically lost her life in a car crash on the Gowanus Expressway this week described her as “always full of life” and “such a beautiful soul.”
Emergency medical crews responded at about 11:20 p.m. to 911 calls reporting a crash in the Staten-Island bound lanes of the Gowanus Expressway near the 92nd Street exit, according to a statement by the NYPD.
