Ole Miss' Offensive Woes Strike Again in 74-59 loss to Arkansas

Ole Miss strolled into Fayetteville fresh off its best week of SEC play, following a win on the road over Mississippi State and a home victory over Texas A&M. Over that two-game stretch, the Rebels allowed just an average of 48 points. Arkansas, on the other hand, plays a more upbeat style of play that sees them score 85 points per game. Although they didn’t reach that average, the Razorbacks still prevailed Wednesday night, defeating the Rebels, 74-59.
“We’ve got to win games in the high 50s and 60s” head coach Kermit Davis said after the game. “That’s just who we are. We have to play to our strengths. We’ve got to guard.” ....

Women's Basketball To Take On No. 3 UConn |

The No. 19 Arkansas womenâs basketball team (11-6, SEC 2-5) is set to play the No. 3 Connecticut Huskies (10-0, Big East 8-0) at Bud Walton Arena on Thursday.
The Razorbacks added the Huskies to the schedule after the Vanderbilt Commodores canceled their season due to complications with COVID-19.
âWhen Vanderbilt opted out of the season Monday, we were lucky enough that UConn had a common open date as ours,â Arkansas head coach Mike Neighbors said on a Zoom teleconference last Wednesday. âA few texts and a couple of calls later, we got it all set.â
UConn starting guard Christyn Williams is from Little Rock and played at Central Arkansas Christian. The 5-foot-11-inch junior guard averages 16.5 points per game for the Huskies. ....

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas added another game to its schedule Head Coach Mike Neighbors announced today, as the University of Connecticut Huskies will come to Bud Walton Arena on January 28. The game will tip off at 4 p.m. CT, and will be televised on ESPN2. The Hogs were scheduled to play Vanderbilt on that day before the Commodores canceled their season due to complications related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“We entered this season knowing cancellation of games could be a possibility, so we started early conversations with our friends in the game that had a similar desire to play the best competition possible with COVID protocols in mind,” Neighbors said. “When Vanderbilt opted out of the season Monday, we were lucky enough that UConn had a common open date as ours. A few texts and a couple of calls later, we got it all set.” ....

FAYETTEVILLE – For the third straight game, Arkansas got down big in the first half. However, the Razorbacks showed great resolve in the second half to pull out a 75-73 victory over Auburn Wednesday night at Bud Walton Arena.
Desi Sills, who scored a career-high 23 in the first meeting with Auburn this year, pumped in 22 Wednesday, including 14 in the second half. Jalen Tate scored 14 while Jaylin Williams and Justin Smith each scored 10.
Arkansas was down 19 (37-18) with just over four minutes left in the first half. Vance Jackson Jr., and Tate made a pair of 3-pointers and the Hogs trimmed their deficit to 12 at the break. ....
