A whine not promising to age well

Have you heard about the out of this world new whine? It is called Injustice League White. It begins with bitter notes, then finishes with a sour mouth. It pairs well with anything really stinky.
In Monday’s Herald-Standard, the Injustice League – state Rep. Matthew Dowling, R-Uniontown, Rep. Ryan Warner, R-Perryopolis, Sen. Pat Stefano, R-Bullskin Township, Sen. Camera Bartolotta, R-Carroll Township, and Rep. Bud Cook, R-West Pike Run Township – uncorked a particularly distasteful whine regarding the slow and frustrating rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine. To listen to their misguided accusations, you would think they just arrived from a universe far, far away and knew nothing of what has transpired over the past year. ....

Local lawmakers critical of state's vaccine rollout plan

Local lawmakers say they’re disappointed with the state’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout, which has left many who are eligible to receive the shots wondering when they’ll get their turn.
“Yes, supply is an issue, but Pennsylvania ranks 42nd in the nation when it comes to the percentage of vaccines received that have actually been administered,” said state Rep. Ryan Warner, R-Perryopolis. “Even worse than that is the confusion and frustration our citizens are feeling because they don’t know when they will be able to get a vaccine, even if they are eligible in the current phase.”
State Rep. Matthew Dowling, R-Uniontown, called the state’s distribution plan “abysmal,” questioning why eligibility was expanded when they were an insufficient number of doses available. ....

Restaurant and bar owners decry Gov. Tom Wolf's orders, encourage others to open

“Just open.”
The words, spoken by Joe Tambellini, resonated with dozens of restaurant and tavern owners who gathered in a parking lot outside of Al’s Cafe, a restaurant in Bethel Park, on Monday. They were there for a “Rights for Restaurants” rally organized by the restaurant’s owner, Rod Ambrogi, and politicians.
Tambellini, vice president of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Restaurant and Tavern Association, encouraged his peers to reopen their restaurants and bars.
“We’re allowed to be open just open,” he said, as the crowd cheered. “Forget about the governor, forget about all these people. You got to talk to the other restaurants and bar owners tell them to open.” ....
