March is designated as National Reading Month, a month set aside to motivate Americans of all ages to read every day. Reading is definitely fun and comes with so many benefits, regardless of your age, and reading to and with your child is a perfect way to start them on their journey.
As a way to celebrate National Reading Month, Dr. Wax Orthodontics is hosting a special story time every Saturday during the month of March. Weekend Readings with Wax is designed for children ages 5-8 years old, but all ages are welcomed to attend. The story time will have children hanging out with Panda Wax and enjoying 2-3 stories. ....

Forecast breakfast goes virtual


 The annual Forecast Breakfast, hosted by the Fenton & Linden Regional Chamber of Commerce, was held remotely this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Laundry, Lewis & Knopf CPAs, PC and Consumers Energy sponsored the online event.
 Keynote speaker was Jim Holcomb, senior executive vice president and general counsel of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. In a pre-recorded video, Holcomb said although times are difficult now, he looks forward to when everyone can meet again in person.
 The Michigan Chamber has 5,000 members and there are members in all counties of the state. “We are the leading voice of business advocacy,” he said. He added that the vaccine is crucial for moving forward. ....
