A police detective s car was one of several broken into early Saturday morning, and a rifle belonging to the Melbourne Police Department was stolen. The string of burglaries happened in Timber Ridge area of West Melbourne, according to officials in Melbourne. Investigators from both West Melbourne and Melbourne are looking into what happened and searching for thieves. Officials did not share any further details about what happened or possible suspects.
