Just when we thought these unprecedented times couldn’t get more partisan, another controversy divides our country  on a holiday weekend, no less.
Salt on watermelon? Or no salt?
Hyper-partisan divide
The divide seems to be along picnic lines, specifically Fourth of July picnics. Those who don’t see eye-to-eye can’t seem to respect other people s taste buds and get on with the seed-spitting contest.
In an informal Facebook survey, The Daily Reporter asked readers to vote.
“As the July 4th holiday approaches, we want your input. Watermelon: Salt or no salt?”
“No salt” won by a small margin. “Salt” voters are calling for a recount. ....
