A historic eastside Erie mansion soon could house shops, services and business offices. The former Rose Koehler Curtze mansion, 138 E. 26th St. was sold in late February along with adjoining property and neighboring buildings to BIR S LLC for $350,000. The company plans to lease space in the mansion for offices; services, such as a barbershop; and possibly retail shops, said property manager Pasang Tamang. It s an opportunity for community members who have wanted to open their own businesses, Tamang said. The owner first plans to do some maintenance to the building.
