Desarrollan una aplicación para prevenir la pérdida de memoria en mayores


Barcelona – El grupo Soft Computing de la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (UPC) ha desarrollado una aplicación basada en la estimulación con recuerdos que tiene como objetivo prevenir el deterioro cognitivo, evitar la pérdida de memoria severa y mejorar el estado de ánimo de los ancianos.
El proyecto Long-Remi, desarrollado junto al Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra (IPC) de Portugal, consiste en mostrar fotografías, vídeos, refranes y canciones que forman parte del patrimonio cultural colectivo para estimular la memoria de los usuarios.
Esta aplicación para tableta y ordenador, que emplea técnicas de inteligencia artificial con reconocimiento facial, se pondrá en marcha el próximo mes de septiembre con 60 personas mayores de España y Portugal para evaluar la respuesta de cada usuario ante la terapia de reminiscencia. ....
