Photo by Jeramey Jannene. A new headquarters for warehouse equipment company Rite-Hite is quickly rising in Walker’s Point. The company announced in early 2020 it would relocate from suburban Brown Deer to the Reed Street Yards business park, bringing approximately 300 employees with it. It is building a four-story, 159,308-square-foot office building along the north side of W. Freshwater Way on a site that overlooks the South Menomonee Canal and Harley-Davidson Museum. ....

Photo by Jeramey Jannene. The motorcycle manufacturer ceremonially broke ground Thursday afternoon on a new event space for its 20-acre museum campus, 400 W. Canal St. The event had a distinctly Harley twist: a stunt driver on the company’s new Pan America 1250 bike interrupted the proceedings. That included popping wheelies as Chris Nelson, director of museum experience, feigned disbelief and later driving across the dirt pile as dignitaries stood ready to make a ceremonial dirt toss. ....

A new event venue will be constructed on the campus of the Harley-Davidson Museum. A groundbreaking is planned this summer for a one-story building with an 8,200-square-foot event venue. It is expected to be completed in Spring 2022. The new venue will replace Chrome, a seasonal tent structure used for formal events. It will be built at the southern end of the campus, with views of the South Menomonee Canal and Menomonee River. Morton Buildings is serving as the design-build contractor, with HGA providing design support. ....
