BISMARCK A Bismarck police officer was cited Wednesday night, Feb. 24, after striking a pedestrian with his patrol car.
The incident occurred at around 9 p.m., according to a release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Officer Collin Schlect, 24, was responding to a call that had been broadcast over police radio in his vehicle, a 2019 Ford Explorer, according to the news release. Schlect was exiting a parking lot when he struck Marlo Hunt-Beaubrun, 44, of Bismarck, who was walking in the lighted, marked crosswalk. ....

Bismarck Officer Charged After Failing to Yield to Pedestrian

BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Bismarck Police Officer is being charged after failing to yield for a pedestrian Wednesday night.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports Officer Collin Schlect was responding to a call that had been broadcast over the radio. He turned into a parking lot and exited, striking 44 year-old Marlo Hunt-Beaubrun of Bismarck. She was transported to Sanford Medical Center by Metro Area Ambulance for Minor injuries.
Officer Schlect was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The crash remains under investigation.

Authorities might never know what all happened in the sky before a fatal Bismarck air ambulance crash in 2018, but one expert sees a few possible answers to some questions that remain.
The National Transportation Safety Board on Dec. 3 released its final report on the Bismarck Air Medical crash the night of Nov. 18, 2018. Bismarck Air Medical pilot Todd Lasky, Metro Area Ambulance paramedic Chris Iverson and CHI St. Alexius Health nurse Bonnie Cook died in the crash.
They were on their way to Williston to pick up a neonatal patient when the Bismarck Air Medical Cessna 441 broke up in flight. The plane was destroyed. ....
