Members of staff of The Polytechnic, Ibadan have rejected the Oyo State Tertiary Education Salary Scale published by the Oyo State Government for workers in the state-owned Polytechnics as well as College of Education.
The poly workers’ rejection of the salary scale was contained in a communique made available to our correspondent on Wednesday. It was signed by the Chairman, Senior Staff Association of Polytechnics, Biodun Abegunde; Chairman, Non-Academic Staff Union, Ibraheem Akande; and Representative of the teaching staff, T.M Oyebola
The workers said the Governing Council of the Institutions were the only body saddled with the discussion of salary and emoluments matters and not the Ministry of Education or any of its agents. ....
