Police force small grocery stores to shut down Islamabad May 23, 2021 Rawalpindi : Police were forcefully closing down small grocery stores in different areas of the city on the second day of the compulsory lockdown here on Saturday. The Punjab government has directed all pharmacies, medical stores, medical facilities and vaccination centres, petrol pumps, food takeaways, utility services, media outlets, bakeries, small grocery stores, dairy, vegetable and fruit shops, tandoors, chicken and meat shops to remain open and facilitate masses, however, police officials were forcefully closing down small grocery stores at Adiala Road, Defense Road, Tulsa Road, Munawar Colony, Dhoke Juma, Tali Moori, New Lalazar, Hill View Lane, Kalyal, Madina Town, and several other localities. ....

Raising an alarm, Atishi claimed that Delhi has less than a day s stock of Covaxin for 45-plus after Monday evening while Covisheild will last only for five days. Raising an alarm, she said the AAP government will have to temporarily shut some vaccination centres in Delhi owing to end of Covaxin stocks. The centres administering Covaxin to the 18-44 age group have been closed. Atishi said that Delhi also started walk-in vaccinations for 45-plus, healthcare workers and frontline workers from Monday.
