Islamabad: Central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister on Investment, Sardar Tanvir Ilyas Khan has expressed a deep sense of shock over the martyrdom of imprisoned Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai due insufficient health care facilities in jail.
In a statement on Thursday, he said the brutal treatment meted out to Kashmiri leaders by Indian authorities and keeping them in detention was an inhuman and highly condemnable act. He called upon the international community and human rights organisations to take notice of the death of Ashraf Sehrai in detention due to lack of sufficient health facilities. Sardar Tanvir observed that other Kashmiri leaders like Syed Ali Gilani, Muhammad Yasin Malik and Asiya Andrabi were also facing life threats due to adverse health conditions and spread of COVID-19. ....

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Government and the people of Pakistan have expressed deep grief over the demise of senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman Ashraf Sehrai in Indian custody.
The Foreign Office, in a statement, said the senior Kashmiri leader was arrested last year on trumped up charges under the draconian Public Safety Act in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The statement said Ashraf Sehrai remained incarcerated in Indian jail under squalid conditions despite serious deterioration of his health and the prevailing COVID-19 crisis. ....

The government of Pakistan on Wednesday expressed grief over the sad demise of senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman Ashraf Sehrai in Indian custody and criticised arrest of other Kashmiri leaders despite record number of coronavirus cases in the country.
The 80-year-old Kashmiri leader had been facing detention under the controversial Public Safety Act (PSA).
Sehrai s demise comes amid speculation that he had been poisoned in jail, with relatives of other Kashmiri detainees worrying for their loved ones safety. ....

Although Coronavirus has affected about 150 million people in the world, yet in the last 11 days, India has been recording almost 340,000 to 400,000 cases and about 5,500 deaths, breaking world record each day. India’s count shows a blast in Covid infections.
Transporters of many countries, carrying oxygen cylinders, other hospital equipments have begun reaching India. China has also offered New Delhi related-equipments to fight Covid-19.
Despite foreign aid, this novel virus has become out of control. Indians have started demanding the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resign due to mishandling the corona crisis.
Last year, under the guise of coronavirus, Indian fanatic rulers had imposed various kinds of restrictions on the Muslims. Modi’s government and the health ministry had claimed that Muslims are spreading this virus. As a result, Hindu extremists have set off a series of assaults against Muslims across the country. ....
