KANCHANABURI: A six-year-old girl has become the latest Covid-19 patient in this western border province, the 5th since the new wave of the outbreak began, the provincial Covid-19 response centre announced on Sunday.
Athisan Intra, director of the centre, said the girl s parents on Jan 4 tested positive for the virus at Maka Rak Hospital after returning from a gambling den in Pin Klao area in Bangkok. The family is from tambon Don Cha-em in Tha Maka district  ....

Less than a month after Thailand’s leaders blamed Myanmar migrant workers for the latest COVID-19 outbreak in Samut Sakhon’s wholesale seafood market, discrimination has become a part of Myanmar migrants’ daily lives in everything from transportation to banking.
