Part of my job was to take the racehorses to the Avondale racecourse first thing in the morning before school. I got to wash them down, feed them, groom them and all those kinds of things. Initially I wanted to be a race caller. I got to hang around with famous race callers like Keith Haub, but I had another great passion and that was radio.
