Former Yankee Alex Rodriguez and native New Yorker Marc Lore are reportedly nearing a deal to buy the Minnesota Timberwolves.
ESPN is reporting A-Rod and the Staten Island born Lore would buy the team for around $1.5 billion.
The two would not take control until 2023.
Both put out a joint statement saying they re excited.

A-Rod was looking to buy the Mets before it was sold to Steve Cohen.
Lore was the president and CEO of Walmart U.S. Commerce before stepping down this year. ....
