Kingdom FM The EBU, which organises the continental competition, says it will look at the available options to work out how to safely run the contest in Rotterdam in May. We welcome this decision by the Dutch government and the possibility that we can invite fans to join us as we bring the Eurovision Song Contest back in May, said Martin Osterdahl, the event s executive supervisor. The government said it wants to allow a maximum of 3,500 people to attend a total of nine shows in Rotterdam - rehearsals, semifinals and the 22 May final, if the state of the coronavirus pandemic allows it. ....

Rail services are going to be provided by an arm s length firm owned and controlled by the government. It s thanks to a decision to run services through what is known as the Operator of Last Resort . There has also been an announcement to implement further Emergency Measures Agreements (EMAs) for ScotRail and Caledonian Sleeper franchises from next month. This will last from 1 April until September this year. Michael Matheson MSP, Scotland s Transport Secretary, said: With the current ScotRail franchise expected to end in March 2022, we need to take decisions about successor arrangements within the current legislative framework. ....

The infections affect four halls of residence and also private accommodation, according to the university. More than ten students have tested positive for Covid-19. There are more than 40 others self-isolating. Kingdom FM has seen an e-mail from University Principal and Vice-Chancellor Professor Sally Mapstone where she said it s “very likely” that the outbreak is linked to the new UK strain of the virus. ....
Kingdom FM Picture: Kinghorn RNLI A volunteer for the RNLI in Kinghorn has raised more than £6,000 for the charity after running the equivalent of two marathons over two days. 36-year-old Ralph Johnston took on the worldwide David Goggins 4x4x48 challenge on 5 March. The challenge was to run four miles every four hours, for 48 hours, but he completed a final total distance of a little more than 52 miles. Ralph, who is a pensions product manager in his day job, has been a volunteer crew member at Kinghorn lifeboat for two years. He exceeded his own personal target of just £1,500. The RNLI is supported entirely by donations. ....
Kingdom FM Fife Young Carers has called on employers to be more understanding of the caring role. The organisation supports children and young people between the ages of 8 and 25 who take care of someone in their family with an illness or disability. Today is Young Carers Action Day, with the Carers Trust saying it s an annual day recognising the contribution young carers make to their families and local communities. Young carers have been highlighting the skills they have developed including empathy, resilience and time management. Amber Reid, Development Worker for Fife Young Carers, has told Kingdom FM that young carers have lost work due to the impact of their caring duties: ....
