PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) Pueblo police identify a new suspect in a shooting that injured an off-duty firefighter.
On Sunday, June 6, an off-duty firefighter was shot during a drive-by shooting in downtown Pueblo. The victim, a man, was in a group of off-duty coworkers. They helped a homeless man who, police say, was being harassed by one or more individuals. Shortly after, a man fired several rounds in the victim s direction from a sedan parked outside of a nearby establishment.
On June 8, Pueblo police identified a potential suspect. However, on June 9, police said that man was ruled out as the shooter. The department didn t elaborate on why that man was misidentified as a suspect. ....

Minnesota Senator Gives Legislative Session a C+ Grade
District 24 State Senator John Jasinski of Faribault told KDHL AM Minnesota listeners today the recently completed legislative session was difficult due to COVID.
You might recall initially the state was informed it would receive approximately $2.5 billion dollars.  Then $2.8 billion. Senator Jasinski says the number is now closer to $3 billion dollars coming from the Federal Government as part of the Rescue Plan money.
Jasinski says Republicans want to use the dollars for one-time budgeting impacts.  He says Democrats want to put a quote, Ton of money into K-12 education which he says is good but, It s 41 percent of our budget now. They continue to put in more and more and if we use this money for that when it goes away there s a big gap of what is needed. ....

May 06, 2021CONCORD Attorney General John M. Formella announces that Thomas John Ball Poirier (age 39) of Tilton has been indicted by the New Hampshire Multicounty Grand Jury on charges of First Degree Assault on a person under 13 years of age, Second Degree Assault, Reckless Conduct, Obtaining a Controlled Drug by Deceit, and Possession of a Controlled Drug.
Mr. Poirier was formerly employed at Spaulding Academy and Family Services in Northfield. The charges allege that between Dec. 15 and 22 of last year, Mr. Poirier stole Methylphenidate, commonly known under the brand name Ritalin, which had been prescribed to Spaulding s residents, some of whom were children under the age of 13. The charges further allege that Mr. Poirier replaced the stolen medication with an unknown substance, and that, in doing so, he caused serious bodily harm to two children residing at Spaulding Academy and Family Servic ....
