The deadline to enter Startup302 has been extended toFeb. 22. Applicants who submitted beforethe original deadline may revise their entries and resubmit by the new deadline.
“As applications continue tobe submitted, we are excited to extend the opportunity for innovative startupswith underrepresented founders toapply to compete for a still-growing prize pool,” saidNoah Olson, who is theDelaware Prosperity Partnership Innovation support manager and a member of the Startup302 Steering Committee.
Startup302 – open toscalable, high-growth startups witha tech or scientific focus – is offering more than $260,000in grant-based prizes funded by localpublic-and private-sector sponsors.Some prizes have geographic restrictions in that only Delaware-based companies may compete for them. But many of the prizes are open tocompanies based anywhere that have an interest in the Delaware ecosystem. ....

Startup302 funding applications due Feb. 12

Competition focuses on underrepresented startups

Startup302’s application window is now open, and applications for the funding competition will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 12, from technology-enabled startups with at least one founding team member from an underrepresented group.
Startups in advanced materials, agriculture, bioscience, business/financial services, chemistry and esports are especially encouraged to participate. There is no cost to enter, thanks to support from the State of Delaware and other sponsors.
Underrepresented founders include women and African Americans, Latin Americans and Native Americans. According to Ariel Gruswitz, Delaware Prosperity Partnership’s director of innovation, Startup302 aims to strengthen Delaware’s innovation ecosystem by improving access to funding and mentorship for underrepresented entrepreneurs while fostering diverse perspectives, promoting inclusive and equitable consideration, a ....
