The Federal Highway Administration reports travel nationwide fell by double digit figures in 2020 due to the pandemic.  That may have played a role in fewer DUI arrests in Grand Forks County last year.  The Grand Forks Sheriff’s Department made 89 stops for drunk driving – a three year low.  The figures topped the triple-digit mark in both 2018 and 2019.  The S-O also reported fewer citations for open container.
