Gang donning police uniforms arrested in Peshawar Police recover Rs700,000, 900 riyals and weapons from their possession PHOTO: FILE PESHAWAR: Peshawar Police arrested a gang of four robbers on Tuesday who were infamous for committing crimes by dressing up as policemen. The recovered items during the raid included cash, jewels, mobile phones, weapons and uniforms of police personnel. SP Saddar division Waqar Ahmed, while addressing a press conference in connection with the operation, said that the armed gang broke into the house of Qari Abid Ali and looted Rs700,000 in cash, 900 Saudi riyals, gold and valuable mobile phones. Sarband police registered a case on Qari Ali’s complaint and CCPO Peshawar Abbas Ahsan constituted a special team to nab the culprits. ....
