Over six weeks, the initiative sought to bring beloved Australian artists to low-key locals across six regions, from Barwon South West to Hume – reinvigorating regional Victoria’s live music scene and offering communities the opportunity to come together over incredible homegrown talent. Thousands tuned in to watch, finding comfort and company in the comments section; after each set, one artist would introduce the next, and give viewers a few moments to click on to a new musicianâs page. A year later the world feels like a different place, but Isolaid is still going strong. Almost every weekend since the pandemic struck, the festival has recruited a new batch of artists to play 20-minute sets on social media, with lineups that have included Julia Jacklin, Stella Donnelly and Middle Kids. ....
TAC unveils concert-driven regional Victoria campaign via Bolster March 8, 2021 9:45 The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) has teamed up with Bolster for the Small Town Big Sound campaign which will see several Aussie bands perform shows across regional Victoria. The campaign is the latest for TAC’s Vanessa, with Small Town Big Sound set to push Vanessa’s ‘pre-think before pre-drinks’ message to young drivers across the state. Alice Skye, Amyl + The Sniffers, Bad//Dreems, Birdz, Camp Cope, Elizabeth, Floodlights, Harmony Bryne and Kee’anh will play shows across Barwon South West, Mornington, The Grampions, Gippsland and more. The Vanessa crew will be at every gig doing free breath tests and encouraging all attendees to plan a safe trip home. ....
