A Green virus is being spread The Biden-Boris green virus which infects most of the west has become a danger to Australia. PM Morrison has promised one billion dollars for âhydrogen, CCUS (carbon capture usage or storage), batteries and critical minerals â all to achieve ânet zeroâ. Not one of these green dreams will produce one light-bulb of new energy â all will consume massive amounts of energy and money. Innovation is going backwards in this green era. Just as the sun enters a cooling phase, we are heading for an energy dark age. Green zealots have rediscovered windmills from the Middle Ages and the solar energy they worship has powered plant and animal life since the sun started shining. ....
Support for Royal Commission “Shellshock” they called it when men seemingly lost all reason in the trenches of Europe in WWI. “Battle fatigue” was another term used when fighting men returned home, quiet, distracted, bad-tempered and turning to alcohol before ending the torment with a permanent solution to the war still going on in their heads. Now we say “nervous breakdown” and “PTSD”, but while we use these terms to recognise the well-known problem of terrible mental health outcomes for defence personnel, we don’t seem to be any closer to a remedy. I wholeheartedly welcome Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s announcement of a Royal Commission into veteran and defence suicides because we all want to do better by our veterans and serving personnel. ....

That is the situation for thousands of dogs and cats as the post-COVID “new normal” sends people back to work and leaves them no time to look after the new family member obtained during lockdown. Shelters are filling to capacity, with the RSPCA in NSW reporting recently that they are at 95 per cent capacity for dogs and 125 per cent for cats. Some of these animals will have been adopted, while others will have been bought from unscrupulous breeders. ....
