The Tamil classic En Rasavin Manasile completes 30 years today and the film s lead actress Meena Sagar took to her social media to talk to talk the film. Directed by Kasthuri Raja, the film starred Rajkiran and Meena in the lead, with music scored by Ilaiyaraaja. This romantic drama went on to become a blockbuster and won several awards that year, including three state awards Special Prize for Best Actor to Rajkiran, Best Lyricist to Piraisoodan and Best Film Award, second spot. The film also marked Meena as an adult actor in a big way. Her innocent portrayal as Solaiyamma won her many fans and she was flooded with film offers as well. A week after Venkatesh Daggubati wrapped up his portions, lead actress Meena took to social media on Tuesday and announced that she had completed her part in the Telugu remake of Malayalam critically acclaimed superhit film ‘Drishyam 2’. Sharing a picture from the sets, the 44-year-old actress captioned her post as “Aaaand its a wrap for me awaiting to Awe the audience yet again..Need all your love and support.” Before heading to Kerala, the team of ‘Drushyam 2’ have wrapped up a few scenes in Hyderabad involving the principal cast which include Venkatesh, Meena, Kruthika Jayakumar and Esther Anil. Along with Nadhiya and Naresh Vijaya Krishna, several actors will be reprising their roles from ‘Drushyam’ that released in 2014. facebook Pintrest The shoot of Siruthai Siva s Annaatthe starring Rajinikanth in the lead is back on track. The team began the shoot in December 2019 and the shoot went on till February 2020. Owing the pandemic, the shoot was halted. Later, the team again resumed shoot in November 2020. However in the first week of December, several members from the team tested positive for Coronavirus and Rajinikanth, too, was hospitalised owing to fluctuating blood pressure. He was later discharged and took some rest before resuming the shoot again. After shooting some portions in Chennai and Hyderabad, the team will now film sequences in Kolkata, too. Nayanthara, who is presently in Kochi, will join the team soon, and so will Keerthy Suresh. The film, we hear, will be in true Siva s style - a pucca family entertainer.
