'We Are Under Extreme Weather Conditions': Wildfires Rage From California to Alaska

The Beckwourth Complex Fire reached more than 92,000 acres on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 and has prompted evacuations in Lassen County near the California-Nevada border. The U.S. Department of Defense has provided C-130 MAFFS-equipped aircraft to help control the fire.

Wildfires that torched homes and forced thousands to evacuate burned across 10 parched Western states on Tuesday, and the largest, in Oregon, threatened a portion of California’s power supply.
Nearly 60 wildfires tore through bone-dry timber and brush from Alaska to Wyoming, according to the National Interagency Fire Center. Arizona, Idaho and Montana accounted for more than half of the large active fires. ....

Seven Fire Engines Transferred to Southland Agencies | The Patriot KEIB AM 1150

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The California Governor s Office of Emergency Services announced today that seven new fire engines were transferred to agencies across the Southland.
The Type VI fire engines were transferred to Los Angeles and Orange County fire jurisdictions as part of the California Fire and Rescue Mutual Aid System, according to a Cal OES statement. The engines are used in wildland and urban fire responses due to their versatility, maneuverability, off-road abilities and firefighting capabilities.
The engines were transferred to the Anaheim Fire & Rescue Department, Costa Mesa Fire & Rescue Department, Orange City Fire Department, West Covina Fire Department, La Habra Heights Fire Department, Arcadia Fire Department and Sierra Madre Fire Department, according to Cal OES. ....
