By EJ The Millard North High School marching band are holding their 7th annual march-a-thon fundraiser. The 300-member band will march through the Harvey Oaks neighborhood on Saturday, May 15th from 9:30a-1:30p. Come out and support the band with your cheers, applause and donations. They will march the parade route starting at Converge Church near 144th and Harvey Oaks Ave. All donations help purchase instruments and pay for travel expenses. Residents along the parade route can order a personal Lawn Concert for a donation of $30 per song. The band will stop along the parade route and hold a special performance just for you, your family and friends. ....
Branden Millsâ journey to graduation is one filled with firsts. Mills, a senior sociology and psychology double major at Midland University, is a Nebraska transplant. He grew up in Delaware before moving to Nebraska as a senior in high school to attend Millard North High School in Omaha. âComing from the East Coast and moving to Nebraska for my senior year was something that I thought was going to be really hard and it turned out for the better,â he said. Graduating high school and earning a scholarship for track and field at Midland University, Mills was on his way to becoming the first in his family to graduate from college. ....
