Walking past restaurants in Gainesville, people will find themselves hard-pressed not to see a door or window adorned with a sign that reads, “We’re hiring.”
“We’re all in the same boat,” Josh Tedder, co-owner of Sliced, said. “Everybody is struggling to turn out a quality product in a reasonable time frame.”
Tedder said he recently had to close his Sliced location in Buford on Sundays because he doesn’t have enough staff to meet the demand of customers. He currently has openings for full-time and part-time staff at four of his Sliced businesses. ....

Calls for Derby tram network to replace £250M road scheme
Campaigners have called for Derby to consider building a tram system along the route of the old Great Northern railway instead of pushing ahead with a major road-widening scheme.
The Light Rail Transit Association (LRTA) has urged for the government and Highways England to consider scrapping the £250M A38 widening scheme in preference to a tram system modelled in a similar fashion to Nottingham’s tram network.
According to the LRTA the road scheme, which has seen Bam Nuttall appointed as main contractor with Aecom as consulting engineer, is expected to be thrown out by the High Court due to a lack of environmental and climate change damage being taken into account when devising the project. ....

WOODLAND PARK, Colo. (KRDO) The Woodland Park Downtown Development Authority (DDA) will formally dedicate the historic Pikes Peak Cog Railway Car at Midland Station at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 27. The car was donated by the Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cog Railway and funding for the moving and installation of the cog car was donated by local resident Duane Carter.
The Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cog Railway has significant history in the Pikes Peak and Woodland Park region, reinforcing the region’s reputation as a tourism destination and providing an economic development base for Teller County. ....
