The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE or The Exchange) admitted Briclinks Africa Plc to its Growth Board in a listing by introduction of 10 million (10,000,000) ordinary shares of â¦1.00 each at â¦6.26 per share on Friday, 5 February 2021.
The listing was commemorated with a digital Closing Gong ceremony where the Chief Executive Officer, Briclinks Africa, Mr. Mohammed Buhari had the honour of bringing the day’s trading to an end.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer, NSE, Mr. Oscar N. Onyema, OON stated, “We are delighted to welcome Briclinks Africa Plc to The Exchange. This listing is a milestone in our desire to accommodate small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that hitherto have been underrepresented in public markets. Briclinks Africa Listed in Nigerian Stock Exchange

A leading telecommunications firm, Briclinks Africa Plc, was on Thursday listed in the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) as the first internet service provider company on the Growth Board of the NSE.
The approval for the listing of the company’s shares was secured over the weekend.
Briclinks’ Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Mr. Paul Nwigwe, disclosed this in a briefing in Abuja after the NSE listing on Thursday.
According to Nwigwe, Briclinks Africa Plc traded its securities on the newly created growth board of the NSE, which already has four firms.
The four firms, drafted to the new category 10 months after it was launched, are: Chellarams Plc; LivingTrust Mortgage Bank Plc; McNichols Plc; and The Initiates Plc. ....

Investors lost N20bn on Wednesday as the nation’s stock market extended its decline to the third consecutive trading session amid profit-taking.
Five insurance stocks were among the top six losers at the end of trading on Wednesday.
The market had on Monday started the month on a negative note, ending a five-day gaining streak.
The market capitalisation of equities listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange had risen by 3.44 per cent last week as the market continued its upward trend for five consecutive trading sessions.
Investors gained over N1tn in January as the market capitalisation rose to N22.19tn on Friday from N21.06tn at the start of the month. ....

Investors lose N30bn as stocks end gaining streak

Investors lost N30bn on Monday as the Nigerian stock market started the month on a negative note amid profit-taking, ending a five-day gaining streak.
The market capitalisation of equities listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange had risen by 3.44 per cent last week as the market continued its upward trend for five consecutive trading sessions.
Investors gained over N1tn in January as the market capitalisation rose to N22.19tn on Friday from N21.06tn at the start of the month.
The NSE All-Share Index, however, dropped by 0.13 per cent on Monday to 42,357.90 basis points from 42,412.66bps last Friday, while the market capitalisation fell to N22.16tn from N22.19tn. ....
