Library book group to host author
LEWISTOWN The monthly Zoom Book Group of the Mifflin County Library will host a “Zoom Author Chat” at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday with local author, J.B. Richard, for the release of her new book, “Gold Country.”
The author’s two sons were the catalyst for “Gold Country,” a tale about brotherhood and trust.
J.B. Richard is the author of the “Western Promises” series and the new “Gold Country” series. J.B.’s home is nestled among the mountains of the Keystone State, deep in the middle of farm country. She is an enthusiast of the “Wild West” and greatly loves learning about the Civil War era. She finds inspiration in nature, family and friends.

The Mifflin County Commissioners issued a proclamation Thursday recognizing the Mifflin County Library in observance of National Library Week. LEWISTOWN The Mifflin County Commissioners on Thursday recognized the Mifflin County Library with a proclamation in observance of National Library Week.
During their regular meeting, Commissioner Kevin Kodish read the proclamation, in which the commissioners lauded the library for the service it provides and calling upon residents to visit the library and use its resources.
